Inauguration of the World’s Largest CSP Project 2023

Project Overview

On December 6, 2023, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum inaugurated the world’s largest Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) project within the fourth phase of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Solar Park in Dubai. This 950-megawatt (MW) project integrates three hybrid technologies: 600 MW from a parabolic basin complex, 100 MW from a CSP tower, and 250 MW from photovoltaic solar panels. The project, covering 44 square kilometers and valued at AED 15.78 billion, features the tallest solar tower globally at 263.126 meters and the largest thermal energy storage capacity at 5,907 megawatt-hours, as recognized by Guinness World Records. It is expected to provide clean energy to approximately 320,000 residences and reduce carbon emissions by about 1.6 million tonnes annually.

Our team supported the official ceremony with clear, reliable sound, carefully designed lighting to enhance the stage and surroundings, and high-resolution LED screens to present visual content and key moments to the audience. The production setup played an essential role in highlighting the scale and significance of this landmark national achievement.
